Torque Controller

Provides all the features of the EDU2AE/TOP/Expand with the addition of angle monitoring and control which is generated by an encoder in the PLUTO/TA electric screwdrivers. The EDU2AE/TOP/TA controller converts the encoder data to degrees and then includes degrees of angle as a control parameter in three optional features: Lever angle, Input Angle, and Torque Threshold Angle.

The Expand package features a USB flash drive (for uploading and downloading data) and special Expand software for your PC. Now you can set the controller parameters from the comfort of your chair and then easily download them via the USB into the controller. With this new technology an infinite number of programs can be easily created and stored for future production requirements!

Expand Technology Features:

  • PC programming (USB Port): it is possible to set, change and save all parameters through our new "EDU EXPAND" software for PC. It is also possible to upload via USB drive all parameters/programs previously set on "EDU EXPAND". Just connect your USB to the port and recall the desired programs on the menu. The programs set on control unit can be downloaded on USB and recalled on another unit equipped with the Expand package.
  • Saving/programming on mini USB flash drive (Back Panel): you can now save the results of each screwing operation directly on USB pen drive!

Main Features of the EDU2AE/TOP/TA:

  • One controller for a torque range of 2.6 to 442 in-lbs, depending on driver used.
  • Torque value display after each tightening.
  • Easy to program user interface screens.

  • Statistics menu with summary of number of screws, and the number of assemblies completed.
  • 15 input and 11 output connectors: all functions can also be controlled remotely.
  • USB, Serial port, or optional Ethernet box for retrieval of tightening data.
  • Optional Switch box, Socket/Bit tray or barcode scanner for program selections.
  • Comes standard with the Expand software package.

User definable parameters for each of eight (8) programs:

  1. Driver Model
  2. Torque level adjustment: 0.4 to 12 in lbs
  3. Joint type (HARD or SOFT) selects RPM profile
  4. Break Time: down shift speed from pre-torque to final toque when in the Hard Joint RPM profile
  5. Ramp Time: select from 0.2 to 3.0 Seconds
  6. Speed: tool dependent
  7. Minimum Time: select from 0.1s to MAX - 0.1s. Torque reached before this time will not activate torque output signal.
  8. Maximum Time: select from MIN + 0.1 s to 20 sec. If torque is not reach before the MAX time the screwdriver will stop and an error message will be displayed.
